Reciprocal post to my test-posting (final test post)

The test wordpress crosspost looked good. So this is the reciprocal test. Fingers crossed

Reciprocal post to my test-posting (final test post)

EDIT ON WordPress: And it worked!

Still on cross-posting. Upgrades and the demise of once-good stuff

loopy_cat_by_timekeeper9-d2z7w0ePutting this up for anyone interested in CONTROL and cross-posting. So yes, OCD-complexioned deuce that I am, ima still puttering around with the idea of cross-posting, but with focus on control in my hands.

Having donned my tiny logic-debugging cap, I realised the idea of multi-platform cross-posting is not an impossible dream.

Apologies for the post spam across tumblr, wordpress and twitter

Sorry for the nuisance spam.

Sorry! Much apologies for being such a annoyance with my test posting. I deeply underestimated the circular logical nature of the setup I had.

Sharing on twitter and tumblr via wordpress is now turned off, and duplicate posts across all three platforms are removed. I have learnt my lesson (never set up tests like this before going to bed!)

I would be more profuse but I need to get to work now. Please accept my very humble and very contrite: Sorry!

Apologies for duplicate posts. And an ingrate’s technology gripe

quote-Charles-M.-Schulz-sometimes-i-lie-awake-at-night-and-1-2374Note: much apologies to blog followers who may get multiple duplicate posts for a bit as I straighten this out.

Ingrate. That’s me. Sometimes I lie awake at night and ask: do I ask for too much of technology, of social media, of internet people? (Not the last, in all seriousness. I’m well aware people are the problem, like Ms Dodson, despite the Stockholm Syndrome induced affection she developed for Mr. Constantine that has somewhat disabused her of that key existential tenet.)

google+ share problem with posts being shared publicly

Leonid_Pasternak_001A quick update on the cross-platform post sharing experiment mentioned here.

Twitter works a treat, but for some confounding reason, google+ refuses to sharr the post publicly.

The archaic (and immensely unhelpful) logic requires the post to be deleted and reposted. An utter unsurprise then, to me, to find the root cause seems to be my poor decision making in deciding to select share with groups when setting up the share.

Done with the Silm notes. Or are we?

old-forest-road-ben-zweifelWhen I started on the Silm notations, I mentioned that I was following the schedule of the read-along happening on tumblr to help keep me on track. But, unlike the read-along’s exclusive focus on the main text, I had intended to go book cover to book cover, starting with the foreword and preface, and concluding with my own map of the story flow in the Silm. I expected to have a notation post, and at least one content discussion post every week of the read-along. And it seemed like I had all the time in the world to make the schedule, and keep to my plan. But if there’s one thing to learn from the book, it’s that things do not go according to plan, no matter one’s station. Universal entropy is the greatest existential equilizer.
